Living in Pinehurst
Pinehurst is a charming Southern village with a New England style approximately 60 miles southwest of Raleigh. Pinehurst is named for the adjacent Pinehurst Golf Resort, venue of the US Open Golf Championships in 1999 and 2005, and the former home of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Designed in part by Frederick Law Olmsted, best known for his design of New York City’s Central Park, The Village of Pinehurst and Pinehurst resort received National Landmark status in 1996 for their significant role in US golf history.

Southern Pines, located just six miles east of Pinehurst, is another exemplary small town with big-city activities.
